Blogger Profile: Kelley of The Hidden List

What to say about Kelley from The Hidden List?  Well, the list on her is long!  Here it goes. . . This spirited lady is, to me, the ultimate Texas beauty with the ultimate Texas style. . . a true "Texas eclectic".  Kelley's keen eye for fabulous vintage pieces and ways to mix and layer heirlooms, vintage and modern styles makes for a truly unique, layered feel that is what I call "Texas eclectic".   Her blog, The Hidden List is the same -- it's chock-full of everything from tips and updates on designers, local shops, and eateries, to the scoop on interiors trends and products you must have.  It's a wonderful source, and always fun to see what's on Kelley's list.  Check it out and see below for our own "hidden list" on Kelley herself.  xx -m.m.

[smmidge] Describe your blogging style.

[The Hidden List] My blogging style is "off the cuff".  The tag line of my blog is "the secret door to all things exceptional", so I share things that I find to be new and noteworthy...everything from design to fashion to the latest app I downloaded that day or a fun trip I took with friends.

[smmidge] Your personal style? And one favorite piece (each) in your home and wardrobe that reflects your style.

[The Hidden List] My personal fashion style is casual, comfortable with a dash a trendy here and there.  I'm not a fan of getting dressed up, especially when that means wearing painful high heeled shoes!  The most favorite thing in my wardrobe is a very worn pair of Frye harness antique vintage boots or one of my many vintage cowboy boots!  If I could wear jeans, a t-shirt, some kind of wrap and my Fryes everyd day I'd be totally happy!

[The Hidden List] My design style seems to match all other parts of my life and continues to fall in the line of eclectic.  In my home you'll find everything from a modern Eames lounger to an old tatted throw that was my grandmothers.  They most favorite things in my home change from time to time, but they always seem to be one of my pieces of art.  I love vintage art and have several art walls in my house that I add to often.

[smmidge] What keeps you inspired both on the blog and in life?

[The Hidden List] I'm inspired by so many things on a daily basis.  It could be a chat I have with one of my creative friends or a great Anthropologie window display.  Now that we have Pinterest, how could anyone lack a source of inspiration!  Several people have asked me how I continue to come up with things to blog about...I'm more concerned with the fact that I don't have enough time to blog about every thing I find inspiring and exceptional!

[smmidge] Your 3 favorite songs to listen to while blogging.

[The Hidden List] Here are a few songs I'm currently loving...

Kingdom Come - The Civil Wars
Drive By - Train

[smmidge]Last book you read and loved.

[The Hidden List] I read so much on the web, that I rarely read books, but I read "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo".  It was so disturbing, but such a great story!  I picked up "The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest" and started reading it on a plane a couple of weeks ago and then realized that I'm reading this trilogy out of order!  Now it's hard to stop and go back...Hate it when I do that!

[smmidge] Your top three favorite blogs.

[The Hidden List] It's almost impossible to tell you my three favorite blogs because I read so many every day that I love...  Here are a few that are among my daily reads...
